Written Exam – CDS Exam Pattern
- This exam includes objective type questions only. The time duration is 02 hours and the maximum marks for each subject is 100.
- Candidates who are appearing for Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force will find several subjects, including English, General Knowledge and Elementary mathematics in theirwritten exam.
- Candidates who are appearing for officers training academy will find various subjects, including English and General Knowledge in their written exam.
- Selected candidates will be detailed for intelligence and personality test at the SSB based on their preference by the respective service HQ.
As discussed earlier, all the papers will have objective type questions only. Additionally, the question papers of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathswill be set in both Hindi and English.
Intelligence & Personality Test – CDS Exam Pattern
Selected candidates will be called for Interview. The SSB procedure includes two stages in the selection process, including Stage I and Stage II. Candidates who qualify the Stage I will be permitted to appear for Stage II.
Stage I: It includes Officers Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests that are Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in OIR and PP&DT.
Stage II: It includes Interviews, Group Testing Officers Tasks, Psychology Tests and the conference. All these tests are conducted over 4 days.
