CDS Eligibility 2019

CDS eligibility criteria of 2019 have been defined by Union Public Service Commission. This criterion comes with the set of norms on the basis of age, height, nationality, and educational qualification. According to CDS Eligibility 2019, candidates will be eligibility to apply for the exam if their age is between 20-24 years. Additionally, candidates who have passed or pursuing their final year are also eligible for the exam by providing submitting a relevant passing certificate of the exam at the time of commencement of course. Nationality

Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee, Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzanian, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia and Ethiopia or Vietnam can also apply for the exam,but only after subject to fulfillment eligibility criteria according to the rule of Gov of India.

Age Limit, Qualification and Marital Status – CDS Eligibility 2019

Types of Courses

Indian Military Academy

Candidates aged between 19 to 24 years are eligible
Should have Degree of a recognized University
Should not be married

Indian Naval Academy

Candidates aged between 19 to 24 years are eligible
Should have Degree in Engineering from a recognized University Institution
Should not be married

Air force Academy

Candidates aged between 20 to 24 years are eligible
Should have Degree of recognized University or Bachelor of Engineering
Should not be married

Officers’ Training Academy (OTA-Men)

Candidates aged between 19 to 25 years are eligible
Should have Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
Should not be married

Officers Training Academy(OTA-Women, Non-Technical)

Candidates aged between 19 to 25 years are eligible
Should have Degree of a recognized University or Equivalent
Unmarried, Widow and Divorcee can also apply

CDS Eligibility 2019 Physical Standards

Candidates must be physically fit according to prescribed physical standard by UPSC.
Candidates must have good physical and mental health.
Candidates must be free from all diseases or disabilities.
The minimum height for male candidates should be 157.5 cm. for Army, 157 cm for Navy and 162.5 cm for Air Force and women candidates should be 152 cm.
Candidates should have asufficient number of natural and sound teeth i.e. 14 dental points.
