Commerce Students Can Apply for NDA?
Many students who have completed their schooling with subjects like business studies, accounts and economics are in a dilemma whether they can apply for the National Defence Academy Exam or Can they join the NDA with a commerce background.
Yes, a commerce student can give NDA exam. For commerce students without maths, only the Indian Army has opportunities. Indian Navy and Air Force do not offer any posts to the candidates who have completed their 10+2 with Commerce. It is mandatory for Indian Army and Air Force NDA aspirants to complete their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
NDA Educational Qualification
The National Defence academy requires the candidates to fulfil the minimum educational qualification before applying for the NDA exam. There are other NDA eligibility Criteria with respect to Age limits, that a candidate must fulfil before applying online for the NDA exam.

12th class pass of the schooling system’s 10+2 pattern, or an equivalent test administered by a state education board or institution.
Students without a math background can still apply for the NDA, but they will only be eligible for the Indian Army, not the Indian Navy or the Indian Air Force. Students with an arts background or studying commerce can both take the NDA exam.
