Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) Notification 2019
A new online examination has been started by the Indian Navy which is somewhat similar to AFCAT which is conducted by Indian Air Force. This online exam is called Indian Navy Entrance Test which is popularly known as INET exam. Men and Women who are willing to join Indian Navy can both apply for this exam.
Registration Process will start from 18th May 2019 and the Last Date for form submission is 29th May 2019.

Indian Navy Entrance Test | More opportunities for Women
The sole purpose of conducting this exam is to provide more opportunities for women in Indian Navy. As of yet, Indian Navy Entrance Test is being conducted for sailor entry only and in March 2019, INET was conducted at 214 centers across 52 cities. Nearly, 6,33,251 candidates took this entrance test.
Like AFCAT, Indian Navy Entrance Test will soon be conducted for five different officers entry namely Pilot, Observer, Logistics, Naval armament etc.
This course will commence from Jun 20 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Unmarried Men and Women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission are invited for the Naval Orientation Course (NOC) for Pilot/Observer/Air Traffic Controller/Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre/Logistics/Education/Information Technology and other Technical Branches.

Who can apply for Indian Navy Entrance Test?
- Candidates who are in the final year or have passed with an Engineering Degree from an AICTE recognized educational institute can apply for Indian Navy Entrance Test.
- These candidates should have passed in their BE/B Tech course with a minimum of 60% before joining the Indian Navy Academy.
- Candidates will not be permitted to join INA Ezhimala who have failed to meet a minimum cut off%.
Note: –
- One candidate can only fill one application.
- On their INET rank, Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB and their preference of choice.

- Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) to be conducted in Aug 19 at one of the INET centers. Admit Card for online examination indicating date, time and place of the online examination which is scheduled during Aug 2019 will be available on the official Navy Website by second week of Jul 19.
- Merit list will be based on combined marks of INET & SSB.
Syllabus and Exam Pattern of Indian Navy Entrance Test
- The time duration of this exam will be of two hours.
- This online exam will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
- These 100 questions comprises of topics related to English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematical Aptitude & General Knowledge.
- Negative Marking is present. For every one incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from Oct 19 (tentative) at Bangalore for pilot & observer candidates and at Bangalore /Bhopal /Coimbatore /Visakhapatnam /Kolkata for other branches/ entries.
- These shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview via e-mail or SMS as per the information provided by the candidate in the application process.
Candidates (SC/ST/women candidates are exempted from payment of fees) are required to pay a fee of Rs 205/- (Rupees Two Hundred five only) through online mode. Admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled to waiver of examination fee.
