What is CAPF Exam 2023:- CAPF stands for Central Armed Police Forces, which is a uniformed paramilitary force under the Ministry of Home Affairs in India. The CAPF includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

What is CAPF Exam 2023?

CAPF conducts a national-level examination known as the CAPF AC (Assistant Commandant) Exam to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Commandant in various CAPF branches. The exam is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Eligibility criteria for CAPF AC Exam:

CAPF AC Selection Process 2023:

CAPF Interview Test:-

The Interview/Personality Test is the final stage of the CAPF AC Exam selection process. This stage is designed to test the candidate’s personality, communication skills, leadership qualities, and other relevant qualities required to become an Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces.

The Interview/Personality Test carries a weightage of 150 marks and is conducted by a board of competent and unbiased officers who have experience in assessing the candidate’s suitability for the position. The interview panel may ask questions related to current affairs, defense and security issues, the candidate’s background, and other relevant topics.

Marking Scheme of CAPF Exam 2023:-

The CAPF AC Exam follows a negative marking scheme where 1/3rd of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. However, there is no negative marking for unattempt questions or questions marked for review.

For Paper I, which is the objective type paper, each question carries 1 mark. The maximum marks for this paper are 250, and there are 125 questions in total. Therefore, the total marks for Paper I are 250, and each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 0.33 marks.
