Indian Army notification 2022 Out Indian Army has released an official notification inviting online applications for SSC Tech 60 and SSCW Tech 31 entries. Unmarried male and unmarried female Engineering graduates and also Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. Hence, the course will commence in Apr 2023 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

SSC Tech Eligibility Criteria

Although, the candidates applying for the various SSC Tech entries must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria provided below:

Nationality

A candidate must either be:-

(i) A citizen of India, or

(ii) a subject of Nepal, or

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, and Uganda.

Age Limit (as on 01/04/2023)

For SSC(Tech)- 60 Men and SSCW(Tech)- 31 Women

20 to 27 years (Candidates born between 02 Apr 1996 and 01 Apr 2003, both
days inclusive).

For widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only

SSCW (Non-Tech) [Non-UPSC] and SSCW(Tech)- A maximum of 35 years of age.

Educational Qualification

Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course.

The online application process has already been started and the last date to apply online for the SSC TEch and SSCW tech entry is 24th August 2022. The candidates are suggested to apply online in advance.

How to Apply Online for SSC Tech Entry 2022?

The candidates can follow the steps below to apply online for the SSC 60 and SSCW 31 entry 2022.

In the first step, visit the official website of the Indian Army – @joinindianarmy.nic.in or click on the direct application link above.
Register yourself by clicking on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (Registration is not required if already registered on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in)
After getting registered, click on Apply Online on the Dashboard.
A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open.
Then click ‘Apply’ shown against Short Service Commission Technical Course.
The ‘Application Form’ will open on your screen.
Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill in details as required under various segments – Personal information, Communication details, Education details, and details of previous SSB.
Submit your application and pay the required fee.
Upload all the necessary documents

Indian Army SSC Tech and SSCW Tech Selection Process

The candidates will undergo the following selection process.

Short listing of Applications.
Centre Allotment
Medical Examination

Type of Commission

(a) Grant of Commission

Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lieutenant from the date of commencement of the course or the date of reporting at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, whichever is later and will be entitled to full pay and allowances admissible to Lieutenant during the training period. Pay & allowances will be paid after successful completion of training.

(b) Confirmation of Short Service Commission

Also, on successful completion of Pre Commission training at OTA, Officer will be confirmed Short Service Commission (Technical) in the rank of Lieutenant.

(c) Ante Date Seniority

Therefore, one year ante date seniority from the date of commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of Short Service Commission (Technical) in the rank of Lieutenant.

(d) No Ante Date Seniority for widows of Defence Personnel for SSC(NT)

Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel selected for SSCW (NT) entry will be granted Short Service Commission in the rank of Lieutenant but will NOT be entitled to any ante date seniority.
