Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for the candidates who have passed graduation and are preparing to join the Indian Defence Services. As mentioned above the CDS 2022 application form will be filled from 22nd December 2021 to 11th January 2022. Candidates have not filled this application form yet; they should fill their application form soon.
Notification of Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam
The Combined Defence Services application form and exam date have been declared by the Union Public Service Commission. The first written exam of the CDS examination will be held on April 10. The candidates who could not appear in the CDS exam for the first time can appear in the CDS exam by filling the application form for the second time exam. The CDS 2 exam will probably be conducted in September. The application form for this exam will be filled from 18th May 2022.

Many vacancies are announced for different posts by the Union Public Service Commission to conduct the CDS exam every year. To fill the application form, it is mandatory for the candidates to fulfil the criteria asked in the examination. Below we are giving you information about the eligibility criteria related to the exam.
Nationality:-
- Candidates must be of Indian origin to fill this application form. Apart from this, persons who are residents of Nepal or Bhutan can also fill this application form.
- Candidates who are permanent Indian but are residents of Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda, Burma, Sri Lanka, United Republic of Tanzania, Vietnam, Malawi, Burma, Zambia or Ethiopia for any reason. They can also fill this application form.
- Such Tibetan refugees who have settled in India before 1 January 1962 are also valid for this application form.
Age Limit:-
- Unmarried candidates are eligible to fill the application form of CDS 2022. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd July 1997 and not later than 1st July 2002. This is valid for all candidates Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Army Academy.
- Women who are unmarried, widowed, divorced and not remarried and who were born not earlier than 1st July 1996 and not later than 1st July 2002 can also fill this application form. Such women candidates can be appointed for non-technical courses in Officer Training Academy under Short Selection Service.
Exam Pattern of CDS Exam 2022
CDS 2022 exam is a national level exam. To qualify in this exam, the candidate has to qualify for the preliminary and main examination. The mode of examination is completely offline and each paper in this examination consists of 100 questions. Thus the question paper consists of a total of 300 questions and the total time to solve it is 2 hours. For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks will be deducted as a penalty.

To appear in the Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy examinations, candidates must have basic knowledge of Mathematics, General Knowledge and English. The question paper consists of 300 questions of multiple choice type and each section has a given fixed time.

The process to apply for CDS Exam 2022:-
If you are going to appear in the CDS exam for the first time and are interested to fill the application form. So we are sharing with you some important information related to filling the application form below. To fill the application form, you have to follow the following steps:-
- First of all you have to visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission.
- There you will see an option to apply. Click on that option.
- If you are registering for the first time then click on new registration and complete your registration process.
- After giving the general information, you will receive the registration number and password on your email id.
- After collecting the received information, go to the official website again and click on Part 2 to check your application form.
- To fill the application form the candidate has to fill his/her general personal and academic information.
- Set the size and format of the photograph asked for in the application form and try to have a recent scanned photograph and signature.
- On the next step, select the exam center and proceed with the application form.Before submitting the application form, once you must take a print out to check the filled application form.
- After verifying all the details submit the application form.
- You can pay the fees asked for the application form through the online payment process.
- Make sure to take a printout of the payment submitted by you so that you can get information about your application form and application form in future with the help of fee receipt.
