Indian Air Force X & Y Group Recruitment Rally for the states of Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh
Indian Air Force Central Airmen Selection Board is organizing recruitment rally in four states listed below for Group X- Group Y, Auto-tech, GTI etc. Indian Air Force offers opportunities for Unmarried Male Indian Candidate from designated districts of state of Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu &Arunachal Pradesh to join as Airmen.
Date of examination and venue are given below regarding with that eligibility criterion, domicile requirement and medical standards are given below for candidate’s perusal.
Date of Birth Criterion: Candidates born between 13 January 1998 and 27 June 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
Educational Qualification.
(a) Group “X” (Technical).
- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or Passed Three years Diploma Course in the following streams from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.
(1.) Mechanical Stream:- Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Design & Drafting), Mechanical Engineering (Foundry Technology), Mechanical Engineering (Machine Tool Maintenance and repairs), Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning), Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die), Mechanical Engineering (Production), Mechanical Engineering (Fabrication Tech), Mechanical Engineering (CAD/CAM Design & Robotics), Mechanical (Advance Manufacturing Technology), Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechatronics.

Group-‘Y’ Non-Technical trades at MooljiJaitha College, Prabhat Colony, Jalgaon, Maharashtra for intakes: 02/2018 & 01/2019 entries
(a) Automobile Technician: As an Automobile Technician you will drive all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc., subject to service exigencies. You will also carry out minor repairs, day to day maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory.
(b) Ground Training Instructor: As a Ground Training Instructor, you will train personnel on drill, parade, handling of arms and physical exercise. You are also responsible for organizing and conducting all games and sports activities.
(c) Indian Air Force (Police): As an Indian Air Force (Police) your responsibilities involve assuming police duties and investigation of offences. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security

Tamil Nadu
Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades at Voorhees College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu for intakes: 02/2018 & 01/2019 involve jobs like:
(a) Electronics Fitter: As an Electronics Fitter you will operate and maintain Radar, Voice, Data transmission reception equipment mounted on latest airborne weapon delivery systems and ground based air defence systems. You will get trained in Digital Electronics, measuring instruments, radar technology, latest electronics devices and related trade fundamentals.
(b) Electrical Fitter: You will maintain power supply system of latest types of aircraft, airborne missiles and associated ground systems. You will also maintain photo equipment mounted on air borne weapon systems and operate ground based photo systems. You will get trained in electrical trade, operation and maintenance of digital devices, electronic devices etc.
(c) Structure Fitter: You are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of airframes and their accessories, components and controls of an aircraft. Regular checks for the entire hydraulic and pneumatic system to ensure proper functioning against leaks are also part of your duties. You will also be assigned the responsibility of marshaling, parking, picketing and ground handling of aircraft.
(d) Propulsion Fitter: You will repair, maintain and prepare for use propulsion system of aircraft and other airborne weapon delivery system.
(e) Automobile Fitter:You are responsible for maintenance and repair of all type of light and heavy duty mechanical vehicles, cranes and loading equipment etc.
(f) Mechanical System Fitter: You will repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of airborne missiles, engines, automobiles and aircraft fuelling equipment. Complete aircraft ground support equipment will also be repaired and maintained by you. You will be trained in handling and preparation of bombs and explosives, electrical system trade, workshop trade, mechanical trade and automobile mechanics.
(g) Weapon Fitter: You will prepare, maintain and service armaments, ammunition and safety equipment of aircraft, missiles and other weapon delivery systems. You will also operate and maintain small arms and bomb destruction equipment. You will be trained to handle bombs, explosives, arms and their installation on weapon delivery platforms.
(h) Workshop Fitter (Smith): You will undertake major structural repairs of all aircraft at central repair facilities. You will be trained in workshop trades of materials treatment, welding, heat treatment, smithy and basic machine tools etc.
(i) Workshop Fitter (Mechanical): You will undertake repair and maintenance work of mechanical nature. You will be trained in workshop trade and practice.

Arunachal Pradesh
Group “X” and Group “Y” {Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P), IAF (S), MED Asst And Musician}At Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
(i) Admin Assistant you will maintain and analyse records, files, information of personnel. You will also manage ration supplies, Cook Houses and Messes.
(ii) Accounts Assistant. As an Accounts Assistant you will record and manage accounting of pay and allowances, equipment, logistics transactions, public fund and cash flow etc.
(iii) Logistics Assistant. As a Logistic Assistant, you are involved in the procurement, storage and handling inventory control as well as accounting of Military Stores.
(iv) EnvironmentSupport Services Assistant (ESSA). This job involves maintenance of the firefighting section. It also requires that you ensure the upkeep of hygiene of Air Force Campus.
(v) Ops Assistant. As an Ops Assistant, you will operate various systems of Air Traffic Control Centre, Air Field and Air Defence System. You will be trained in operation of Radars, Display Units, reporting and tracking procedures of Airborne Weapon Systems etc.
(vi) Communication Technician. As a Communication Technician you will operate, service and maintain all types of state of the art communication devices, telephone exchange and radio equipment.
(vii) Meteorological Assistant. If you are a Meteorological Assistant, you are trained to undertake weather observation and to maintain meteorological instruments. You are also responsible for plotting of charts, taking balloon observations and compilation of weather summaries.

Domicile Requirement: To be eligible to appear in the rally at Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic College, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, the candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions:-
(a) The School / College / Institute from where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the geographical / administrative limits of the State of Arunachal Pradesh. If the name of district is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate / marks sheet of qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce „Domicile Certificate‟ issued by SDM/DM/Executive Magistrate or any official authorized by the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
(b) Permanent Domicile of the state of Arunachal Pradesh who have passed the qualifying examination from anywhere in India are to produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of examination from appropriate authority
(c) Sons of Air Force Personnel {Officers/Airmen/NCs(E) and Unit Cadre Civilians paid from Defence Estimates} whose father/mother is presently serving in any Air Force Unit located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, irrespective of their domicile status, are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of Son of Serving Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate (format available at CASB site on AFNET).
(d) Sons of Air Force Personnel {Officers/Airmen/NCs(E) and Unit Cadre Civilians paid from Defence Estimates} whose father/mother is Retired/Discharged/ Deceased and they are residing in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of proof of minimum stay of one year along with original and a photocopy of Discharge Book/Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV (as applicable) in case of Officers/Airmen/NCs(E) and Certificate issued from the last served unit in case of Civilians.
