Required eligibility criteria for ITBP

• It is mandatory for the candidate to be an Indian citizen to fill out the ITBP application form.
• Such candidates who want to be recruited as a soldier in ITBP, it is mandatory to have passed at least 10th class from any recognized board of the Government of India.
• Such candidates whose minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 25 years can fill the application form for a soldier in ITBP.
• Age relaxation is also given to the candidates for different reserved categories.
• There is a relaxation of 3 years for Other Backward Caste candidates while there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC ST candidates.

Physical Criteria for Soldier in ITBP:-

• To become a soldier in ITBP, the minimum height of the candidate should be 170 cm for males and 157 cm for females.
• A relaxation of a few centimetres is given to the reserved categories candidates. Height should be 162.5 cm for OBC male candidates and 150 cm for females.
• A height of 162.5 cms for SC and ST male candidates and 150 cms for females is valid.

Chest Size:-

• To fill the application form for the posts of a soldier, it is necessary for male candidates to have a chest size of 80 cms without expend and 85 cms expend.
• A relaxation of a few centimetres is given for chest expansion and size for reserved categories.

Race:- Following are the criteria for running under the Physical Efficiency Test.

• Male candidates have to complete the race of 1600 meters within 7 minutes 30 seconds.
• Whereas for female candidates 800 meters race has to be completed in 4 minutes to 40 seconds.

High jump and long jump:-

• For the high jump, men have to jump 11 feet for which they are given three chances and women have to jump 9 feet high. Women are also given equal opportunities.
• For the Long jump, men have to jump 3.5 feet for which they are given three chances and women have to jump 3 feet high. Women are also given equal opportunities.

Vision Standard:- Candidates should have minimum farsightedness of 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without vision glasses to fill the application form for the post of Soldier in ITBP.
