This SSC (Short Service Commission) Entry allows unmarried Indian men and women and also a window of defense personnel who died in harness for grant of short service commission to join the service as SSC. Through this entry, one would be able to join the Indian Army as a technical officer. Indian Army SSC Tech is a technical entry for engineering graduates. There is no written exam for this entry. Applications will be shortlisted on the basis of percentage in engineering. - The online application will begin from 14 October 2020
- Last date of Online submission of application form: 12 November 2020

Eligibility Criteria for SSC Tech and SSCW Entry:
- A candidate must be a citizen of India.
- A candidate who has passed the Engineering degree course is eligible to apply for this post.
- Those candidates who are in the final year or final semester of engineering, they are also eligible to apply.
- The candidate will have to produce the proof of passing the engineering degree course before 12 weeks of commencement of the course.

Age Limit for SSC tech 56 and SSCW 27:
- For the Male candidates: The age must be between the 20 years old to 27 years old.
- For the Female candidates: The Age Limit is also the same for the female candidates. The age must be between 20 years old to 27 years old.
- For the Widow of Defense Personnel: The special age relaxation has been given to such candidates. An age limit for them must be between 20 years to 35 years old.
Selection Process of SSC Tech Entry:
SSC Tech 56 Notification: A candidate would be able to apply once in a year. if any candidate applied for the same entry twice, both the form will be rejected under the rule of the selection board. The selection process of the SSC Tech is completely based on your marks scored in Engineering Degree. Read the selection procedure of SSC Tech.
- Shortlisting of Applications-Integrated HQ of MoD(Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream without assigning any reason.
- After the shortlisting of applications, the center allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first come first served basis, up to a specified date.
- Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at Selection Centres.
- Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and through SMS only.
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.

- Go to the official website of the Indian Army www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Click ‘Officers Entry Apply/Login’
- Click Registration
- Fill the form after reading the instructions carefully
- After registration, click on ‘Apply Online’
- Officers Selection – The eligibility page will open
- Click ‘Apply’ and then Application Form will be open
- Read instructions and click Continue to fill in details
- Fill in all the required details and click ‘Save & Continue’
- After this step, you will move to the ‘Summary of your Information’ page
- Check the details and click on ‘Submit Now’
- After submitting, click on ‘PDF’ and take two copies of the application form for the future.
