NDA I 2020 application form, 418 vacancy Released by UPSC

Here in this article, we will discuss the NDA I 2020 application Form which the UPSC has released for the candidate’s selection and around the 418 vacancies released by Union Public Service Commission.

NDA I 2020 application form, 418 vacancy Released by UPSC:

The National Defense Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in a year and named it as NDA 1st and NDA 2nd (NDA I & NDA II). the application form for the NDA 1st begins in the month January and exam held in the month of April. The NDA II exam application begins in the month of July and exams held in the month of September. All the process of exam and selection pattern is completely the same, There is no difference in the exams between NDA I and NDA II.

Recently the UPSC has released the vacancy for the NDA I exam 2020 and it has around 418 vacancies. Let’s discuss this vacancy and how many vacancies are there for each services like Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force:

There is a total of 418 vacancies released by the Union Public service Commission for the selection in the National Defense Academy in which the 370 vacancies are for the National defense academy and 48 vacancies are for the Naval Academy.

  • Indian Army has 240 seats
  • Indian Air force has 130 seats
  • Indian Navy has  48 seats

The interested candidates can apply online the online application begins from the 8th of January 2020 and the last date for applying online. here are the important dates regarding the NDA I 2020:

  • Online Application Begins from 8th of January 2020
  • Last Date for Applying Online: 28th January 2020 (Till 6 pm)
  • Admit cards will be available on the official website of UPSC before 2-3 weeks of the exam.
  • Exam date of NDA  I  is on 19th April 2020
  • Result declaration: May 2020

Exam pattern of NDA Exam:

The Exam pattern of NDA will be completely the same as it was earlier. the procedure of exam would be like:

  • This is an Offline exam (Pen- paper mode)
  • You have marked your Answer at the OMR sheet.
  • The paper would be in two parts: mathematics and GAT (General Ability Test).
  • The candidate will be given 2.5 hours for each paper.
  • The Negative marking in this would be 1/3 marks for each wrong response.
  • The Maths paper would be for 300 marks.
  • The GAT paper would be for 600 marks.

Mark your answer with the blue or black ball pen, and if you are appearing for the 1st time, learn the basic things about the OMR sheets, It may save your time in the examination a minor mistake in roll no. or in name can reject the answer sheet. Fill that carefully and ask the instructor if needed.

Syllabus of NDA I 2020:

The paper will be held in two parts. here we will discuss one by one, first, we will discuss the mathematics and then GAT:

Part 1 (Mathematics):

  • Trigonometry
  • Differential
  • Calculus
  • Algebra
  • Integral Calculus
  • Differential equations
  • Logarithms and their applications
  • Statistics
  • Probability
  • Vector Algebra etc.

Basically for the maths, you have to cover the entire syllabus of class 12th mathematics. You can prepare the class 11th & 12th NCERT books. Prepare te NCERT book and solve the Previous year’s question paper of this. It will make your preparation better.

The Syllabus of NDA is a bit a Broad and hard to cover the entire syllabus at a time, you have to prepare really better for this to score good in this.
