UPSC Union Public Service Commission conducts CDS (Combine Defence Service) a written exam that is conducted twice every year. It is meant to select officers for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.UPSC invites candidature from male and female candidate while male candidates can apply for Army (IMA and OTA) that in Navy (INA) and Air Force (AFA), women can only apply for Army (OTA). Candidates can fill up the forms online on the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in. Educational Qualification-
IMA & OTA: Candidate must hold a degree from recognized University or equivalent for Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy needed to have a degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
Naval Academy: Candidate must hold B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Naval Academyit is needed to have Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.
Air Force Academy: Candidate must hold B.Sc. with Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering for Air Force Academy it is needed to have Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Selection Process: Selection is two step process with Written Examination and Interview candidate need to first qualify written exam and then after declaration of written exam selected candidates will be called for SSB interview procedure. Then medical fitness is tested on various parameters.

Indian Military Academy: 19-24 Years
Naval Academy: 19-22 Years
Air Force Academy: 19-23 Years
