Duties of Military nurses:-
- Set up military triage in war zones
- Treat wounded soldiers and other military personnel
- Prescribe medication
- Work in pre-operative settings applying anesthesia

The salary of the Nurses would be the same as Engineers gets in the Indian Army. the basic pay in the Indian army for the officers is around 56000/- to 110000/- and after that, there are also same extra pays also like TA (Travel allowance), DA (Dearness Allowance) MSP (Military service Pay) and free accommodation, ration, etc.
While on training Military Nurses will get around 8000/- every month pocket expenses. after the training, they will be posted as Lieutenant their starting salary would be around 56000/- in hand and allowances, etc. after the first promotion they will be posted as Captain
Captain – 61,100/- in hand and allowances.
Major – 69,400/- in hand and allowances.
Lieutenant Colonel- 121,200/- with A grade allowances.
Colonel- 130,600/- with A grade allowance.
Brigadier- 139,600/- with A grade allowance.
Major General- 144,200/- with A grade allowance.
