Navy Sailor AA & SSR 01/2019 Eligibility and Syllabus

Indian Navy issued the notification for recruitment of Sailors in the following Groups on 4th December:

  • Artificer Apprentice
  • Senior Secondary Recruit
  • Matric Recruit

The online applications were supposed to be accepted from 14th to 30th December. There came some technical problem and the filling of the forms started on 18th December. The last date is to apply is 30th December. So if you have not applied yet, hurry up.

ELIGIBILITY

AGE: Apply if you are born between (Both dates inclusive)

  • AA: 01 Aug 1999 and 31 Jul 2002
  • SSR: 01 Aug 1998 and 31 Jul 2002
  • MR: 01 Oct 1998 and 30 Sep 2002

EDUCATIONAL:

  • AA: Apply if you have passed 12th with Maths and Physics and you must have scored minimum 60 % marks total (Aggregate of all the 5 subjects)
  • SSR: Apply if you have passed 12th Standard with Maths and Physics
  • MR: Apply if you have passed 10th Standard

Indian Navy issues notification for recruitment of AA, SSR and MR sailors twice a year. The first Exam is conducted in February/March (The notification is issued in December) and the second exam is conducted around August (The notification is issued in June)

OLD SELECTION PROCESS

  • Submission of application
  • Shortlisting Of applications
  • Issuing admit cards to applicants who have scored highest marks in 12th (AA&SSR) or 10th (MR)
  • One Day Selection Process including Offline written Exam, Physical Fitness test, Preliminary Medical Examination.
  • No negative Marking in the objective type Exam on OMR Sheet.
  • Preparation of Merit List

NEW SELECTION PROCESS

  • Submission of application
  • All applicants will be issued admit card
  • Online Exam
  • Result after a month
  • Issuing admit card for Phase II to all applicants who have cleared the Online Exam.
  • Phase II consisting of Physical Fitness Test and Preliminary Medical Examination.
  • Preparation of Merit List

  • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).

  • Number of Questions in – 100
  • Total marks – 100
  • Negative Marking – Yes
  • Four Sections
