AFCAT-I 2018 Result Declared

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the result of AFCAT-I 2018 on the official website @ www.afcat.cdac.in. With the AFCAT EKT Exam result is also declared. AFCAT-I 2018 Online Exam was conducted on 25th February. Though it is a one day exam yet due to technical glitches IAF had to conduct re-examination at some of the centres which was conducted on 25th March 2018.
Official statement-
The results have been declared and are available for viewing through individual login. The date and venue for AFSB testing can be selected from 14th April 2018 to 18th April 2018. After this date the venue will be allotted randomly to the candidates who fail to choose their date and venue. No change of date and venue will be entertained thereafter. The AFSB testing will start from 30 April 2018

How to check AFCAT-I 2018 Result

Candidate can check their result by using the log in id and password which they got during online application. Written qualified candidates will be call for AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) Interview to be commenced from 30th April 2018.

AFCAT-I 2018 Cut Off Marks

Cut off for this AFCAT Exam is little lower than previous exam. Let’s have a look on the official cut off marks declared by IAF-

Exam Cut off
AFCAT 155 Marks out of 300 Marks
EKT 60 Marks out of 150 Marks

AFCAT-I 2018 AFSB Dates

  • All the written qualified candidates will have to choose AFSB date out of the options provided.
  • Candidates will have to choose AFSB dates from 14th April to 18th April failing which AFSB dates will be allotted randomly to candidate.
  • Any request for change of AFSB Dates will not be entertained in any circumstances.
  • The AFSB testing will start from 30 April 2018

About AFCAT & EKT Exam

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test which is conducted for the Flying as well as Ground Duty Branches of IAF. Parallely Engineering Knowledge Test is also conducted which is for the technical branches and is only for technical graduates. This exam takes place just after the AFCAT exam. Both these exams are conducted twice in a year namely in the month of February and September. Candidates qualifying AFCAT & EKT exam successfully appears in AFSB Interview to be conducted by IAF at one of the AFSB Centre (Varansai/Dehradun/Mysore/Gandhinagar)

After successfully clearing AFSB Interview candidates are trained at Air Force Academy (Dundigal, Hyderabad) and offered Permanent Commission/Short Service Commission in IAF.
